Chicago Data Center Market Overview - Q1 2016

Chicago is one of the top four data center markets in the US and, as of February 2016, has approximately 49 MWs of capacity available, mostly in the suburban market. An additional supply of 15 - 20 MWs is anticipated by the end of 2016 mainly designated for wholesale, larger data center customers. As of Q1 2016, Chicago has witnessed considerable market activity and we anticipate data center space absorption to exceed the 2015 levels. Chicago experienced approximately 35 MWs of net data center space absorption during 2015.
