Five 9s Digital Acquires Phoenix Data Center
Five 9s Digital acquired a state-of-the-art data center in Phoenix from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona. The 45,000 SF data center was originally a purpose-built Tier-III facility for Blue Cross Blue Shield and commissioned in 2010. As part of the acquisition, Five 9s executed a long-term single-tenant lease with a leading national data center operator where Blue Cross Blue Shield will remain a substantial IT customer of the data center operator in the facility.
Phoenix is one of the leading data center markets in the US with over 26 MWs absorbed during the 1st half of 2021.
