Five 9s Completes 15 MW Bitcoin Mining Transaction
Five 9s finalized a 15 MW Bitcoin mining transaction in Western North Carolina. The Bitcoin container deployment is located in a low-cost, renewable power blend region of North Carolina which is also home to major data centers including Apple, Google, Facebook, Boeing, Disney, and others.
The 15 MW BitCoin mining transaction included the facilitation of the land acquisition and coordination among multiple parties to complete site work, power distribution, equipment acquisitions, and container installations. Five 9s completed a nearby Bitcoin mining transaction with Core Scientific in 2017 which included a 253k SF building on 74 acrs of land and now running at nearly 80 MWs.
