Five 9s Digital advised a private equity client on the acquisition of a former bank-owned and operated data center in the Raleigh-Durham market in May of 2024. The 122,000 SF vacant data center features 15 MW of transformation, a highly-secured facility,excellent fiber connectivity and situated on nearly 15 acres of land.
In August 2024, Five 9s Digital advised on the subsequent sale of the data center to an institutional investor of digial infrastructure for $16.75M.
The Raleigh-Durham data center market has recently experienced a significant uptick in activity with several hyperscale data center operators activity pursuing opportunities in the area.
